Is Running Two Times Per Day Good Or Bad For You? Might Help You Lose Weight But It’ll Break Your Body.
Running two times in one day is not a good idea if you’re not used to it. You should always listen to the subtle signs that your body is giving off (especially if those signs are an audible voice screaming “STOP MOTHERFUCKER, THIS IS PAINFUL!” in your head).
Seriously though, I came close to breaking point today. Was it really worth putting my marathon preparation in jeopardy just for another measly run? Will that run even count that much when it comes to race day?
What if my leg is in a fucking cast next time because of running too much on it?
Anyway the story is that ever since returning from the last run I’ve been plagued by a bad case of the runners knee in my right leg.
The only answer to this is the following remedy from Tesco.
If I start getting cramps in my feet then there will be much stamping tonight.
This reminds me of my 10 mile run on New Year’s Eve. I was out at the pub shortly after completing the run and my feet kept going into spasms as I was standing for most of the night. I got some very strange looks as I stamped to try to pre-empt the cramp from growing.
I suppose some thought I was breaking into a jig or something. It got hairy at one point when both my feet cramped at once. I had to leave my pint of Magners down on a table and do a jump-stomp.
Update : My feet aren’t bad this morning at all. I thought it was gonna be a lot worse than it really turned out to be. The Tesco Ibuprofen worked a treat.
