Running On The Spring Morning Again Before I Ate Any Breakfast – Good Fat Burner Of An 8.5 Mile Run.
This morning I ran 8.5 miles on an empty belly and felt excellent all of the way through the run, which is kinda ironic as I really couldn’t have been fucked getting up this morning.
Strange how it works that way, huh?
Anyway my first mile was too slow for my liking, so I sped up for the second and third miles and everything fell into place after that. I wanted to try and run as far as I could today so that I can make my 40 mile week target this week.
I really don’t want to have to run any more than 6 miles tomorrow what with the Larne Half Marathon happening on Saturday.
Running in the morning is amazing, especially now that it is totally light at the beginning of my run. Watching the sun rise is marvellous. It truly is a big fiery bastard.
Much like myself after 5 pints of Guinness.
Still, I am worried by how close I was to not going out this morning. Best tip for getting up for a morning run is to make sure that all of your running gear is right beside your bed.
Placing your alarm clock well away from your bed also helps. As does having a weekly target in terms of mileage.
Up again at the same time tomorrow for a 6.2 mile run. I’m fuelling myself with a Creme Egg and a Pot Noodle for dinner/dessert tonight. Truly a remarkable combo.
