Running Is Finally Getting Easier Rather Than Getting Harder!
As I’ve mentioned recently, I feel like running is a lot easier ever since I finished the marathon. Not only can a sustain decent distance without getting out of breath, but I’m running a little faster too without noticing any real depletion in my energy levels.
My natural pace is now about 10:10/mile, which is still slow as hell but I’m just glad that it’s finally improving after hitting a plateau for so long.
If I can finally get under an easy 10:00/mile then I’ll be able to make proper inroads into running a sub 2 hour half marathon. I just need to keep running 40 mile weeks and it will come to me.
I’d love to have the willpower to eat well too. That’s been holding me back for so long. I’m half a stone overweight at the minute which is obscene when you consider how much running I’ve been doing.
I guess I must be eating close to 3,500 calories a day. If I even ate 3,000 calories a day I’d be making serious inroads.
If you’re reading this and running seems to be getting harder for you, or you’re losing faith that it will ever get easier, don’t give up.
Go out each day and just try to log a few miles. It doesn’t have to be a massive long run to count.
Any forward steps will help you get to where you want to be!
Remember, if you’re overweight jogging will become easier for you if you watch your diet too. You can’t just rely on a whole lot of running to improve your performances. You have to eat well too.
