Paris Marathon Pictures And I’m Definitely Running The Edinburgh Rock N Roll Marathon On Sunday!
The pictures of me running the Paris Marathon are up and despite the violent range of emotions I felt during those 26.2 miles, I look almost the same in every fucking picture!
It’s difficult to realise that you look so gormless, but fucking hell, those pictures are woe.
And with that thought in mind.
I’m running the Edinburgh Rock N Roll Half Marathon on Sunday.
I insisted for most of the week that I wasn’t gonna do it. I’m kinda broke after Paris you see, and I tend to spend shit loads of cash when I’m on the mainland.
But I really enjoyed the Edinburgh race last year and the medal is fucking great and I do love the city.
The Pink Pube Taboo
I’m embarrassed about even trying to meet my Twitter pledge of running sub 2 hours in Edinburgh.
To run a personal best a week after a marathon is a big ask.
But to do it by over 3 minutes = fuck off.
I’ll do what I can to get near that time but it isn’t fucking happening after the run I had earlier.
I ran today for the first time this week and it was fucking hell.
It was fucking shit.
It was raining outside. My body was fatigued after the marathon. I haven’t felt that bad on a run in fuck knows how long.
The run just continued on and on and the more I struggled the more I got annoyed with myself and it went on that way.
And now my fucking nipples are bright red too..
I’m kinda concerned about the direction my running is going in at the minute (and the blog by virtue of it).
I’ve only ran 4 times in the past 2 weeks.
I wanted this to be a 30 mile week too.
I have this thing in my head where if I run a round number of miles in a week then it’ll drive me forward into being a better runner.
Wild shitty madness.
I was ready to force myself into a 6.8 mile run tomorrow morning before my flight out to Edinburgh tomorrow morning, but it isn’t fucking happening. I need to rest all I can and try to get around on Sunday without dying…
I’m in a weird place at the minute as I’ve already ‘tapered’ for one marathon and now I’ve gotta do it again with the Belfast Marathon in only 3 weeks time.
