On Taking A Week Off From Running Whilst On Holiday And Avoiding Burn Out From Running!
Last week I was in Costa Blanca, Spain and unlike Portugal a month earlier I decided not to run.
After 4 months of slogging it out on the streets I knew it was time to rest, otherwise I ran the risk of total burnout from running.
I’m now back home and the weather seems to be even better than in Spain. This is very welcome as when I was last here I recall jogging into hail stones.
Now my plan is to try to round off May by running 150 miles in the month. So far I’m up to 122.96 for May, which is the lowest figure from this year.
Still that’s understandable considering I was tapering for part of the month and recovering from the marathon itself later.
Only 27 more miles to go to make it!
