On Sunday I Had The Photo Shoot For The Book Cover.
On Sunday morning I had the photo shoot for the cover of my upcoming book.
We were originally gonna shoot it on Westminster Bridge but went for Tower Bridge instead as it’s more scenic.
The brief that I sent to the photographer read something like “I’m gonna be running in a suit with a pint in my hand and looking really fucking desperate”.
Desperation, got it!
I really didn’t wanna go that morning as I couldn’t have felt any less like a runner after the dismal half marathon and 5 pints of Heineken on Saturday.
The only people who use public transport at 8am on a Sunday morning are immigrants and/or alcoholics. It doesn’t feel good to be confronted with the truth when you’re still whacked off your cock on Dutch pisswater.
I brought along a bag full of props that included a pint glass, 8 Cheestrings and 4 Pepperami that were gonna be placed in my blazer pocket.
By the time I’d arrived I only had 2 Pepperami left.
The shoot itself went really smoothly. Darren the photographer was professional and accommodating. He never once asked me to smile and he understood from the start what I was trying to capture.
It was hilarious jogging along Tower Bridge at half speed and having Japanese tourists staring at me like I was a fucking alien. At first I was self conscious and worried about the police coming along but by the 10th jog towards the camera I was enjoying myself.
I might as well embrace all of this whilst it lasts. I never dreamed I’d have the opportunity to write a book so fuck it! It’s time to have fun.
I kinda wish I got more of the book written earlier in the year as it’s only started to take shape in the last 3 months. But it’s coming along nicely now and I’m certain it’ll at least get 10 1-star reviews on Amazon (hopefully all from positive-hippy-eat-clean-dicks).
