Whenever I question whether I am ‘really’ a runner, I seek out John Bingham, or at least his quote. It validates me every time. I’m sure you’ve probably heard/read it before but here it is again:

“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.”

Way to go on your training! Looking forward to hearing about your marathons!!!

Please, please, make it a jamón serrano binge next time if you must, or huevos rotos, no hot dogs. Hot dogs is a crime.

I love your blog. Been running for all of 6 days. I’m all pathetic and hurting all over. And I run on hatred sometimes.

I’m just really liking the stuff you write, thanks man. (And please no hot dogs. Of all the sinful foods we have here…)
