      Hey Phil, no need to be a jerk. Matt here is a great breath of fresh air. So many running blogs are pretentious wannabes, who do a lot more B.S.ing than training. I would rather read an honest blog like Matt’s than some idiot regurgitating information from runners world.

        I wasn’t try to be a jerk, sorry if it was interpreted that way. I enjoy Matt’s blog too. I’m originally from his neck of the woods (Belfast), and hopefully he recognizes my comment was in the spirit of his own blog posts 🙂

    I was with you up until the Tutti Fruittis. No. Those are totally horrid. You should have something lovely, like Good n’ Plenty. Now *those* are delicious.

    Calories are calories. Eat what you want within your range, and you’ll be just fine. I believe there was a person recently who went on an all junk food diet to see if he could lose weight eating only junk food but still at a caloric deficit. It worked and he lost weight.
