I’m Tapering For The Munich Marathon By Being Very Lazy.
Hello there you,
I hope you’re doing well.
It’s only 2 days now until the Munich Marathon and I’m strangely looking forward to it. I’ve been tapering for this race in the sense that I just can’t be bothered running at the moment.
I did 7.4 miles on Tuesday and it went great. I was gonna go out running tonight but I saw that it was raining and used it as an excuse to not to.
Instead I’m indoors writing this post and the book at the same time.
I’m hoping to get up early tomorrow for a fast run just to sharpen myself up after my 6 miles last week. I won’t push myself as hard as I did 2 days before Inverness with a 9 miler, but 7 miles at a decent pace would be good.
I’m running the first half under 2 hours no matter what happens. I want to go into the last 13.1 miles knowing that I at least have a chance of going under 4.
If I do achieve it then I’ll be able to just relax in Dublin in 2 weeks time.
I’m really not scared about any of these races anymore after coming through the 100k. The important thing is to enjoy this shit while it lasts.
Worry solves fuck all.
I spent a crazy amount of time worrying about the book but it’s finally coming together. The next 20 nights are gonna be really fucking intense in terms of writing and editing but it’ll pay off big time.
I don’t want to go to Las Vegas in the middle of November knowing I still have shit to write. By then I will have the finished text and the final editing will take place. I still have the opportunity to make the book better in the meantime.
Next week I’m getting the cover photo shot in Central London. It’s gonna be a lot of fun and this will all of this work will seem worthwhile once the product is out!
