Gained Weight Back After Running All Week Last Week…….And Eating All Day & Night!
I’m late this week with my weigh in. Normally I’d do it on a Friday but I moved it to today as it was the holidays here in Northern Ireland.
I wasn’t particularly bad last week but I did have a little too much whiskey and Port Salut on Thursday and Friday. I also ate an entire block of Blue Stilton on Wednesday.
The Withings scales have passed scorn onto me. I’ve put on 1.3lbs.
Not the end of the world but still not great is it?
I’ve already ordered this weeks shopping and I’ve made some healthier choices. Gone are the hot dogs and the Pot Noodles. In it’s place I’ve ordered a cubic fuckton of Alpen and Salad.
My biggest problem at the minute is eating too much during the day, not sleeping well at night and waking up and eating ready meals in the early hours. I have real difficulty sleeping and nightmares are a common occurrence, so it’s not uncommon to down an Oreo salad as a midnight feast.
It doesn’t help though.
I’ll feel shit and bloated the next morning, be in bad form for my run and end up cutting it short. It’s a rut I’m trying to blast my way out of with more running and healthier food.
Running will only get easier if I start back into the double sessions at least three times a week. That’s my plan (I’ve ran twice today, so only 2 more to go!)
I need to keep trying and working with this. I feel obligated to do better now that I do the weigh ins online. I cannot serve as an inspiration to anyone (let alone myself!) if I’m constantly gaining weight and eating like an absolute twat.
I’m home alone this week so I’ve no excuses. I will record a decent loss next week as the Great Scottish Run is getting closer and closer!
