Embarrassed Jogging Outside? Jogging Outdoors Is Not As Difficult As You Think!
When I started running in November 2010, I used the treadmill exclusively at my local gym.
Truth to be told I was terrified of jogging outside as I didn’t know how others would react.
Indeed for the first few months I really disliked outdoor running. There was so much stress, I had to avoid small dogs, cars and hecklers all whilst trying not to collapse in a wheezing bundle.
Over the months I began to understand that running was significantly improving my life. The idiots who would shout stuff at me in the street seemed less relevant as I was doing something good for myself.
What were they doing with their lives? Heckling strangers? What sort of existence is that?
My point here is that you shouldn’t feel embarrassed about running outside. You might think you look like an idiot, but in actual fact you probably don’t.
Unless of course you look like me and pull faces like this here whilst jogging.
See. You can’t look as daft as that can you?
