Easy 6.6 Mile Run – 1000 Calories Burned At An Average Running Pace Of 5.8mph
Winded after that run.
Not because I ran it or put that much effort in, but I went straight into the house, cracked open a can of ‘Pepsi Max’, downed it in one and immediately felt the need to be sick and to burp at the same time.
A little of both happened at once and it really fucking hurt.
Today is Armed Forces day in Carrick and I remember trying a run this time last year and it was one of the worst runs ever. I’d stopped running for several weeks and I was trying to get back into the way of running and it was a major effort.
Going forward a year later to today and this one was a lot easier.
I’ve ended June on 146 miles altogether which is my 2nd worst month of 2012. I’m a little disappointed with this, but I couldn’t help getting injured half way through.
My average speed is up to 5.8mph from 5.7mph last month. For July I want to increase this to above 6 and to run close to 150 miles again. That’s 2 months in a row where I’ve came within 5 miles of the 150 goal. Next month I’ll exceed it, I swear.
My goal this week was to hit 50 miles. I’m on 41 at the minute. I’m determined to meet this and I can end the week happy.
