Day 2 of 30 – 100km Ran For The Week!
|Calories in||Calories out||Deficit|
New levels of dehydration tonight!
I made it to 100km this week when it was looking pretty hopeless up until Thursday when I decided to turn my week around. I didn’t bring any water or money with me so I had to persevere with a serious thirst that was becoming unbearable towards the end. I had only planned on running 13km or so but since I was feeling good I thought I’d save my week and take a major step forward by going for the 100km.
I ran down to City Road in Shoreditch from Tottenham and I zig-zagged across North London at a snail’s pace. I stopped to rest in a bus stop for 10 minutes before continuing the death march home. Feels great to be home and to have achieved what I set out to at the start of the week.
It’s great to get a longer day in! I was starting to worry that I wouldn’t get one in before Liverpool to Manchester in the middle of April. I’m confident enough for that race as I completed Country to Capital pretty comfortably and since then I haven’t recorded a month below 400km/250 miles.
My weight has only been going down too! I weighed in this morning at 85.2kg. Will be interesting to see where I’m at tomorrow.
Here are my last 3 weeks of training.
This morning I opted for some seafood for breakfast. I had a tray of Guylian Chocolate Seashells which hit the spot.
For lunch I had a Vegetable Biryani, some raspberries and two chocolate croissants.
I haven’t had dinner or supper yet as I’m not really that hungry but I think I will get some more fruit and try to salvage something from the day nutritionally. I fought so hard to get to 100km tonight. It was my hardest run since the last leg of London 2 Cambridge when I was limping through the back streets of Cam like a sad ghost.
It’s great going to bed feeling like I’ve achieved something.
