Completing 14 Runs And 200km In May 2015.
I came over home on Saturday afternoon to Northern Ireland from Stansted Airport and after missing my morning runs on Friday and Saturday I’d given up all hope of completing the 200km Strava challenge.
It didn’t help that on Friday night I’d eaten a Lamb Samosa at Leicester Square and then a Turkish Sandwich before bed, so by the next morning I was feeling like a right fat bastard.
I was out with family for dinner on Saturday and returned to a mystical lane bar for Belgian beer, darts and music. It was a good night but pretty fucking unhealthy all in all and not conductive to running.
I woke up this morning slightly hungover and noticed that it was the 31st May. I was under the impression that there were only 30 days in May. That shows you how good my fucking awareness is at the moment.
So I went out and decided to try to do a 10km and then possibly another 6km later in the night. Instead I ran 16km/10 miles through sunshine and fucking hailstones. It was an excellent run. Northern Ireland is much prettier to run in than London. It’s just a shame that there aren’t as many places to run to back in the City.
Getting back on track.
So I ran 200km for the month racking up 14 runs in total. My aim was 15 at the start of May so I’m not really that far off. As for June, I want to run 200km again but more comfortably. I want to get in as many morning and evening runs in the sunshine in as possible.
My weight is down to 213lbs or 15 stone 3 which is a 5lb weight loss. I wanted to be below 210lbs by this time but I am making progress for fuck’s sake. I just have to keep on running and not get derailed by silly shit anymore.
25 copies of my book arrived on Friday afternoon so if you want a copy, please donate to my fundraiser and I’ll send one off to you towards the end of this week. I’ll even leave you a message calling you whatever you want to be called in it.
