Belfast Telegraph Feature And New Edited Version Of Book.
The last few days have been surreal. I’ve been really bored the last few weeks as it’s been too late in the year to search for a contract and I’ve dedicated my time to promoting the book but there’s only so much you can do.
Then on Friday morning I awoke to this article.
I got the feature off the back of one email on Sunday morning. That was all. Same thing happened with the Huffington Post article.
I had an interview with BBC Northern Ireland radio too but it didn’t get used in the end. I did my best and that’s all I can do. I don’t have a face for TV or a voice for radio but I am quite good at spouting shit on the internet and in book form, so there’s always that! I’m enjoying press interest while it lasts. Not taking anything seriously or to heart.
I haven’t been running this week as there’s something up with my right foot. Fucking annoying. Running was going well until Sunday when the pain started and I’ve been resting.
Since then I’ve been spending too much time indoors. I can feel myself slipping back into who I was before I started on this journey and when that happens I get up and do something. Anything. I’ve been tidying my room quite a lot and going on walks as I don’t want to end up looking like this.
New edited version of the book and paperbacks.
Editor Liz has edited the book. I felt bad for pushing the book live without her having the chance to edit it. To be honest the whole writing process was chaotic as I had to start to rewrite the book in July. I wasn’t going to talk as personally as I did in Chapter One and the early versions of the book were really shit because I didn’t talk about the real reasons why I knew I had to change and the rest of the book didn’t make sense because of it.
So I’ve uploaded the new version to Amazon and it should be available to anyone who has already bought the book by the end of today.
I wasn’t gonna do paperbacks until I had the book properly edited and for a while I thought I’d never look at the book again as I was so tired of it. I’m thinking of using Createspace and ordering a small batch of paperbacks in late-winter/early Spring.
I’ll let you all know what’s happening closer to the time.
