Another Excellent Run, Free From The Pain Of Runner’s Knee At Last!
It would seem that runner’s knee has gone for the foreseeable future.
That said, I’m not going to throw caution to the wind and start running twice a day every other day like I did in April. I’ll calmly work my way back to where I was before.
Managed a 6 mile run today in the heat and it was fun. I started off a bit too fast in the first two miles and corrected my speed in the last half of the run.
I suppose it’s natural to lose your pacing when you haven’t been running quite as much as you have been in previous weeks.
6.02 miles at a 10:21/min mile pace. Not bad. I swear I’ll break a 10 minute mile pace by the time the summer’s through and feel comfortable with it at the same time.
I’ve already ran more this week than I did last week and I’m only 25 miles off 100 for the month. The target is still 150 and if I can surpass that then I’ll be a happy man.
My biggest concern was beating last June’s tally of 70 miles. I stopped running for the last half of the month and locked myself away from the world with endless bags of Monster Munch.
I beat 70 miles today. Now on 75ish. Woo.
Oh, I forgot to say my FitBit Ultra is on it’s way to me. Can’t wait to bore you all with my stats!
