A Lovely 6 Mile Run On A Beautiful Sunny Morning. I Also Bought A FitBit Ultra Pedometer.
Now I wasn’t expecting this.
Today I ran completely pain free and had my best workout in possibly a month. I couldn’t feel my knee whatsoever.
Anyway as I say, a perfect run. I could have went on for a few more miles but didn’t want to push it. I might have to make a last minute decision about the Lisburn Half on Wednesday.
If I can go out tomorrow and run 5 miles without any more pain, then I’ll run Lisburn with view of completing it.
I feel vindicated in my decision to rest over the weekend. I knew that I wasn’t fully recovered from Friday.
Yesterday was my worst day in a while. I went for a walk into town and my knee killed non-stop. I was beginning to think it was the start of arthritis.
I stopped by Wetherspoons and had a pint of Abbot Ale and a serving of Nachos. I didn’t feel my knee on my way home but my gut felt that much bigger.
Hopefully I’ll be fit now to finish Juneathon strong. If I could hit 150 miles for the month again I’d be more than happy. As it stands I’d just be happy for this knee issue to never rear it’s ugly head again.
The only positive to come from yesterday was spotting the FitBit Ultra featured on 344pounds.com. It’s an advanced pedometer that monitors how far you walk and run daily and then allows you to share your stats with the world.
I bought one straight away.
Once the Fitbit Ultra arrives I will be pasting in my stats up here in an attempt to finally get fit. I can’t wait for it to arrive!
