10 Mile Run And 1500 Calories Burned Today!
The last couple of weeks have been great for running. Still at an average of 35 miles per week which is great at such an early time in training for Belfast.
Managed to run 10 miles earlier on and it was very tough going. My right foot was swollen by the 4th mile and I had to adopt a different style of jogging which made me worried about the possibility of shitting myself there and then.
Continued on and I felt great when I finally hit the 10 mile point.
I’ve noticed my speed increasing in the last few weeks. It’s getting easier to hold a sub 10 minute mile pace. My natural running pace was about 10:10 but now I feel comfortable at 10:00 or just under it.
I have put on half a stone since my last half marathon but I’m sure I can lose at least 3lbs of that by March. Most important thing at the minute is to just continue to get out there whilst the months are still cold. By March I’ll want to be outside and the weight will come off.
